March 2025 update: I am almost at full-capacity for students at the moment, but there are spaces for one or two more students, the available times are listed below. There will probably be other times available between now and June on a one-for-one replacement basis, so it will still be worth getting in touch if none of those times works for you.

Current availability, all London time:

  • Monday to Friday mornings from 9 am (note that some students have booked additional slots over Easter here, so some flexibility is required)
  • Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons between noon and 4 pm
  • Thursday evenings from a 7:45 until 9 pm
  • Fridays from noon until a 4:45 pm

I also have slots free on a fortnightly basis:

  • Tuesdays from a 7:45 until 9 pm

If you would like to ask about the remaining slots or be added to the waiting list, or if you are not looking to start tuition until May, please email with your details. If you are high enough on the list to have a realistic chance of a spot, or if a spot is available, I will be in touch to see what times work for you for a quick video chat to discuss your tuition.

Tuition fees for offline and online sessions are the same. Worksheets and other study aids are free of charge and are offered when I think the student will benefit from some additional practice.

Level per hr
GCSE, IGCSE £40
A-level, IB Diploma £45

90 minute sessions can be arranged for A-level students upon request.

Online tuition

💻 I am available for online tuition. Chemistry tuition works great online if you have a device to draw and write on the shared whiteboard, in this case it will be as good as being there in person, albeit from the comfort of your own home. Online tution will suit you best if you are either a long distance away or if you need the flexibility to continue tuition when you change location frequently, for example if you return home from boarding each weekend or are away from home during the holidays. It is also ideal if you wish to have tuition during a free period or just after returning from school. I use the best whiteboard software available called Bitpaper, there really isn’t anything you can do on paper that can’t be done using that whiteboard!

Tuition at my house

I live in central Banbury just off the High Street and it is very easy to get to my residence by car, bus or train. I am happy to see students at my house and have done so for several years. This is the best option for learning if you are nearby and if I have a suitable time available.

Tuition at my house is during daytime on weekdays or weekends and after school only (no evenings, I have a young family). I have an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate that can be seen upon request. Evening tuition is available online and occasionally I am also able to travel to you.

Travel to you

Modest travel fees apply if I travel to you, however, please note that I am often too busy to visit students outside of town. You can find out how far you are away from me by using the Google map.

If you are looking for tuition during the evening UK time, it will usually be best to go online.
